Family days out at Llanerchaeron
Enjoy a day out exploring the gardens, traditional stables, farmyard, lake and grounds of the Estate. See what animals are on the farmyard and visit the vintage carts, tractors and a steam roller in the barns. Let the little ones explore nature, spot local wildlife and take part in our seasonal activities.
May half term (25 May to June 2)
Escape for some rural fun this May half term at Llanerchaeron. Whiz around trails on balance bikes, tackle the wooden obstacle course, or pick up a tree trail and see how many different trees you can spot as you explore the walled garden and lakeside walks.
Discover the Georgian Villa’s Service Courtyard complete with its dairy, bakehouse, salting room, and dry laundry room. Head to the barn to explore the collection of vintage tractors, farm equipment and the steam roller in the Geler Jones Collection.
Play room and hay play
Go head-to-head with family and friends in the Old Stables play room with Ping Pong and table football. Or get messy in the water and sand play and have fun in the new hay play area on the farmyard.
Farm animals
Before heading home, don’t forget to say hello to the pigs, calves, poultry, Llanwenog sheep, and Seren and Tomos the 19-year-old Welsh cobs on the traditional farmyard. Can you spot the 3 Llanerchaeron cats too?

Short walks
Immerse yourself in nature and enjoy the beauty of the gardens, lake and woodland walks. The grounds of Llanerchaeron provide ample opportunities to explore on accessible, level paths. The short, circular lake walk, around the stables and farmyard, to the house and the walled gardens are all accessible by wheelchair or pushchair.

· Dogs are welcome around most parts of the estate. Read more about visiting with your four-legged friend here.
. Disabled toilets and baby changing facilities are located in the visitor building by the car park and opposite the stables.
· Admission prices can be found on our webpage here (National Trust members enter for free).
· If you’re visiting with a wheelchair or pushchair, there is level access from the car park to the house, walled garden, around the lake and farmyard. Please note that some woodland trails may be unsuitable. If you require assistance or more information, please ask a member of our friendly team.
