Classical recorder performance in the Priory Church

Enjoy beautiful baroque recorder music in the Priory Church, performed by the Nene Consort. There’s no extra charge or formal ticketing: feel free to pop in and out as you wish or take a pew and enjoy the whole hour. They’ll be playing an hour of music at 2pm and again at 3.30pm. Timings are approximate for this informal performance.

The Nene Consort has performing since 1958. They play the full range of recorders from contrabass to soprano, and their repertoire is mostly renaissance and baroque music, with some compositions by modern composers and arrangers who specialise in recorder music.

Families are very welcome. There is one step up into the church, and the church is not suitable for dogs although assistance dogs are welcome. The church is accessed across a public road – please take extra care.

What to bring and wear

Please dress for the weather and wear sensible shoes suitable to cross the paddock which is uneven grass and can be muddy.

Accessibility

This area is accessed across uneven grass, over a public road, and up one stone step. The floor surface in the church is uneven due to memorial stones.

There is no charge to see the performance, but they will be taking donations in a hat!
