There's nature walks across the extensive parkland, a natural play area with giant birds nest, den building, mud kitchens, and an RAF themed play area. Croome is a great place to meet up with family and friends for your fun packed days out.

Planning your visit

  • Free entry for under 5's.
  • Baby changing facilities at RAF visitor centre and at the House.
  • Pushchair friendly paths across the park.
  • 20-minute walk via pushchair friendly parkland route from RAF visitor centre to the House.
  • Cafe at the RAF visitor centre is open daily and the cafe in the House is normally open at weekends.
  • Highchairs available in both cafe's.
  • We welcome training bikes for children aged 5 and under (tricycles, scooters, balance bikes without pedals and starter bikes with stabilisers). No other bikes are permitted.
  • Ten sensory backpacks are free to loan from visitor reception. The backpacks include ear defenders, sunglasses, magnifiers and sensory toys including fidgets. We hope they will help visitors with autism, sensory processing disorders, ADHD, or those that think they would benefit from them during a visit to Croome.

Natural Play Area

The Natural Play Area is a great place to explore inventive and creative play. They can test their balance on tree trunks, sit on the wooden throne and scramble over logs amongst the trees. They can explore make-believe in the giant birds nest, with mud kitchens, endless sticks for den building and loose parts to create their own space inside the dens.

Shapes and Scents - Half Term Activity

From Saturday 25 May to Sunday 2 June, 10am to 4pm, our fun nature-based activity sheet will get you exploring Croome using shapes and scents this May Half Term.

Hidden amongst the trees in our parkland are 7 scent boxes. What do the scents in each box remind you of and can you match different leaf shapes to the trees they belong to? There is also a leaf shaped mask for you to cut out and hide behind!

Activity sheets cost £1.50 each and include a notebook and pencil to draw or write about things you spot during your visit. Booking not required, normal admission applies.
