There's always lots going on at Stourhead to help you spend time together as a family. Find out what activities you can join to make the most of your next visit – and discover all the facilities available for families.

May half-term

May half-term is looking ‘super’ at Stourhead! Come along to the Stableyard between 25 May and 2 June and learn how to become a climate superhero. Children can discover ways they can protect the planet, learn about what Stourhead does to tackle climate change and enjoy plenty of outdoor games and play. On the final day of half-term fun there will be the buzz-tastic bee balancing blundershow – a new, educational family-friendly musical designed to inspire young people to engage with environmental action. You'll want to bee there!

Explorer map

Fancy an adventure? Pick up your Explorer Map at Visitor Reception and enjoy 16 activities and games to help you get closer to nature and discover Stourhead. The Explorer Map includes plenty of ideas to make the most of your visit and is fun for all the family.

Natural play area

Families are able to enjoy the natural play area and enjoy a swing, clamber on the climing ropes, and enjoy all the fun on offer.

Visiting with family checklist

  • Free entry for under 5s.
  • Baby-changing facilities.
  • Buggy friendly paths around the garden.
  • Balls, bikes, frisbees, skateboards and scooters aren't allowed in the garden, so please leave these at home.
