1-2-1 cycling lessons at Calke Abbey
Are you new to cycling or haven't been on a bike in a while? Book a private lesson to help you build your confidence or learn to ride from scratch.

Our amazing cycle hire team will tailor the session to you, helping you gain the knowledge and skills you need to ride independently.
Lessons are an hour long and are suitable for adult and children of all abilities. Children must be a minimum of five years old.
We have a range of different bikes available to suit your needs, from small balance bikes and children’s bikes, to step-through bikes and mountain bikes in various sizes.

Meet at the cycle hire facility in Calke Explore
- What to bring and wear
Please wear suitable, weather-appropriate clothing for cycling and shoes with a good grip. You're welcome to bring your own bike and helmet or borrow one of ours (included in the price of the lesson).
- Accessibility
We currently only have standard bicycles available.
- Other
Upon booking, please give us a call on 01332863822 if you have mobility or medical issues that may affect your ability to ride a bike. This will allow us to ensure we’re able to help you and prepare appropriately for your lesson. We will monitor the weather forecast closely and will only cancel if extreme weather is likely to impact your lesson. We'll let you know as soon as possible if this is the case and offer you a full refund so you can rebook another time.
