Assistance dogs only
Registered assistance dogs only in the main entrance. We do not recommend access to upper floors due to the ladder like staircases.
Clyston Mill is a historic agricultural building. The ground floor has level access into the entrance room. The upper floors can only be accessed by steep, narrow steps that are ladder-like in places.
Level access/terrain
The ground floor entrance of the mill has level access from outside. It is a historic, agricultural building set over three floors. These floors can only be assessed by steep, narrow, open tread stairs.

The stairs from the ground floor are narrow, steep and ladder like in places.
Seating available
Seating is available outside and on the ground floor of the mill.
By road
From Killerton, take the B3181 to Broadclyst (3.4miles). Park in Victory Hall car park. Then follow walking route - head towards the church and follow signs to the mill.
On foot
Follow the trail map from Killerton to Broadclyst Village. The route passes by the mill. It's a leisurely 6 mile walk that follows the cycle path.
By train
Pinhoe, 4½ miles; Whimple, 6 miles; Exeter Central and St David's, both 7 miles. From Exeter by bus.
By bus
Services from Exeter to Tiverton, alight at Broadclyst, head towards the church and follow signs to the mill. More information at: www.stagecoachbus.com
By bicycle
The cycle path runs from Killerton to Broadclyst Village and passes Clyston Mill. It's a 6 mile round trip that avoids the main road.
Highlights
Historic waterwheel
The waterwheel is a low-breast shot wheel, installed in 1880. Follow the conservation work on Killerton's social media pages-we want to get the wheel turning again.

About Clyston Mill
From harvest through to the following spring, the mill would have been a busy, noisy place, with grain arriving by the waggon load and prices being argued over with local farmers.
