    Walking Festival 27 October - 4 November 2012

This October, our walking festival is going to be bigger and better that ever.

As usual there’ll be a wealth of activities taking place at our places up and down the country, from family fun events to ranger-led treks. We’ll also be recommending hundreds of suggested walking routes for all abilities which you can download from our website and tackle at your own pace.

This year we want as many people as possible to get outside and enjoy the physical and mental health benefits of walking in green places – whether that’s on our land or in local communities. At the moment we’re still developing final plans but please check back for further announcements and events details which will be available from late Spring onwards. Follow us on Twitter, or become a fan on Facebook to be the first to hear more.

In the meantime why not look at some of last year’s celebrity-recommended walks, browse the catalogue of downloadable walking routes or tell us about your own favourite places to walk using our interactive map.
